Bindings secure, but slightly bowed. Vol. I has loose hinge. Contents clean and unmarked except for owner bookplates on front inside covers and name and address on FFEP of some volumes. Gilt top edges. 2 pages loose on Volume III. Vol. I - 434pp; Vol. II - 398pp; Vol. II - 398pp.; Vol. IV - 469pp - General Index. Illustrated including tissue shielded frontispieces. Issued 1862-1863. All items carefully packed to avoid damage from moisture and rough handling.
