About This Item

This P F Chisholm's first historical detective story under this pseudonym - her real name is Patricia Finney. The series featuring the detective, Sir Robert Carey encompasses at least a dozen novels, and are a favourite with fans of the historical mystery. The novels are finely detailed and this book is a really fine collectors copy, signed by the author. A first printing of the first edition.
