Philadelphia: Porter & Coates, 1874. The 19th-century novelist J.T. Trowbridge wrote a number of "Jack Hazard" books for young readers, of which "Fair Friends" is one. The book finds Jack and another boy making their way to New York City to find their fortune. Frontispiece and many more illustrations throughout. Some edgewear, a few cover stains; inner pages browned, but most are clean. 282 pages; approx. 5"x8".. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
