About This Item

New York: Doubleday & Company, Inc., 1947. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good Indeed. 8.5" by 5.5". None. A smart first edition of this beautiful novel from American writer Harold Lamb. First edition. A novel following two people to whom the war brought only pain and disillusionment, and the ancient bronze winged horse that led them to search for a seven thousand year old civilization in the hills of Kurdistan. Written by Harold Albert Lamb, an American writer, novelist, historian, and screenwriter. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with minor rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light wear to the extremities. The odd small closed tear to the extremities with sympathetic repair and reinforcement made with tape to the internal side. Sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Minor age toning to the endpapers. Very Good Indeed
