This is a very interesting and historical look at Massachusetts in 1849 and all of its towns, counties, districts, churches, geographical features, fashionable resorts, and statistics of its manufacturing, agriculture, and commerce. The book is in a generally poor condition. The exterior spine is missing more than half of its covering, the front board has mostly detached from the book (but the rear board is still tightly attached), all edges have worn areas on them and all four corners are worn and the front and rear boards have worn areas on them but the embossed areas are still visible and in moderate shape. The interior book has stains and/or tears on the first pages, the paper is tanned a bit and there are a few stained spots in the rest of the interior book but the printing is still in a good and preserved condition. The book's binding is mostly tight, excepting for the front pages and board.
