Near fine/very good. 12mo (approx. 5 3/8" by 7 1/2"), olive green cloth covers with gilt titles.. xiv + 152 pp + 8 pages of publisher's ads. Light foxing on rear endpapers. The book is comprised of four lectures delivered in February and March 1913 at Queen's College in London. "Professor Cramb sets down with frankness the German viewpoint of many of England's activities, a viewpoint which is anything but flattering and yet which has, in some respects, elements of justice which even the warmest admirer of England will grant...(Prof Cramb) found that Germany's 'instinct for empire' is as strong as England's but that satisfaction of that instrinct has been denied to Germany because of the world-predominance of England." -- from a book review in the NY Times, Oct. 4, 1914.
