About This Item
Ex-library book has the usual markings, stamps, stickers, writing, card holder. The DJ has slight bumping on the top/tail of the spine and edges. Yellowing/foxing on the outer edges. The DJ tape has left marks on the front/back of the fly leaf pages. The card holder was removed on the front fly leaf page leaving it thin but not torn. Veteran White House correspondent Merriman Smith spoofs some of the dreadfully serious aspects of modern Washington in the 1960's. Sometimes satirical and always humorous, he unstuffs the stuffed shirts, catching the "New People" with their intellects down, and describes some of the more important political figures as they sit around upstairs with their shoes off. 1962. A10.
