Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Glassine dust jacket has light edgewear with tears and creasing. Price sticker to front flap.
Synopsis
The Great Hunger is a long poem by Patrick Kavanagh, published in 1942. In this poem, the main subject Patrick Maguire and his old maid sister while away the years trying to raise a prosperous farm. The looming ghost of their mother and the long arm of the Church cling to them like mist as they sink into despair and impotence on their small Irish farm.
