Fine-looking, structurally sound hardcover, little discernible wear, bright interior, unmarked but for previous owner's ink-stamp at first free endpaper. Light blue cloth over boards, sharp and distinct gilt lettering to spine, embossed lyre to front cover. Laid in is a professional review by a scholar. From the personal library of the noted English historian of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome, Professor Peter Morris Green, now of Iowa City, Iowa, 99 years old, nearly blind, but still working, in this case on a new translation and with annotations, of Herodotus, his favorite historian. vii [1], 3-152 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
