In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Neville Braybrooke was a poet, novelist, essayist, biographer, and literary critic.The Idler when published did not meet with much success. This is the only novel that he published. The story focuses on a post-war dilemma and its resolution. It is a story focused on how to understand the past. War damages the protagonist's life but this story looks for hope. In the original publisher's cloth in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart. Marginal age toning to the flyleaf and reverse of the dust wrapper. The boards are bright and clean. Internally firmly bound. Signed by the author on the title page. The pages are bright and clean. Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
