The first part only of a two part work by Thomas Fuller. The scarce first edition of this work.ESTC T138941An unusual guide to thought and logic, in which the author utilises 'such notions as men of sense and experience have left us in their writings, in order to eradicate error, and plant knowledge'. Fuller offers instructional information on correct conduct, moral practice and ethics, and offers maxims that may be useful to his readers. In a full calf binding. Significant rubbing to binding. Lacking half of spine label. Loss of leather to spine tail. Joints starting, with rear board a touch tender, and front board detached to the tail. Internally, binding significantly strained. One gathering, pages 99-118, detached and loosely inserted. Pages lightly age toned, but generally clean and bright. Good
