Well-written, scholarlly and nicely illustrated with maps, charts, photos. Original brown cloth publisher's covers with gilt spine lettering.Contains an index, source notes, and a bibliography in the rear. There is a previous owner's blindstam on the top corner of the front free end paper, else This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. The dust jacket is price clipped, else the jacket in similarly nice condition with no chips, tears, or markings. The dust jacket is now in a protective, removable, acetate cover. ; B&W Photos, Illustrations, & Maps; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 266 pages .
