Collins and Harvill Press,, 1960. 8vo., First Edition thus; green cloth, gilt back, endpapers lightly spotted; a very good, bright, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter chipped (not affecting lettering) at head and tail of backstrip and a little browned at backstrip. First appearance in English of Lampedusa's only novel ('Il Gattopardo'), with striking wrap-around dustwrapper artwork by Hans Tisdall. The basis of Visconti's feature film (1963) starring Burt Lancaster, Alain Delon and Claudia Cardinale. SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
