Olive green cloth-covered boards, gilt titles on spine. Red endpapers. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket has some shelf wear, light chipping to top edge, tanning. Price unclipped. 8vo. The story of an English teenager who by quirk of fate joined the Indian Army and sailed for Bombay the night before the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, amongst other things he recounts brushes with the dreaded Japanese secret police and a raunchy liberation of eight thousand Dutch female prisoners of war in Indonesia.
