New-York: J & J Harper, 1833. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Two volumes. Tall 8vo. (8), 520; (4) 502pp. Portrait in volume 1. Original drab temporary cloth bindings, printed paper labels. Cloth, hinges, labels and edges well worn, foxing to the beginning and end of the textblocks, but still a good, presentable set. Ex historical library, with acquisition and de-acquisition stamps on the reverse of the title pages, and evidence of numbers remoived form spines. Rare.


The author was Chief Justiced Jay's son.
