Lives of The Lord Chancellors and Keepers of the Great Seal of England From the Earliest Times till the Reign of King George IV.By John Lord Campbell, 1sst Baron Campbell, a British Liberal politician and lawyer. This work is one of his few literary endeavours. Complete in ten full calf bound volumes. All volumes are the fourth edition from 1856-1857, with the exception of Volume VIII which is the fifth edition published in 1868. An extensive bibliographical history of English heraldry and history. Spine label to Volume I is chipped, and there are some small chips to the spine labels of Volumes II and III. In full calf bindings. Externally, very smart. There is some rubbing to the extremities. The spine labels to Volumes I, II, and III are slightly chipped. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot. Very Good
