With plastic cover applied by previous owner. Minor shelfwear. Light fraying to cloth on head and tail of spine. Age-toning to textblock, with top edge gilt. Features illustrations throughout. Inscription of previous owner on front free endpaper. Shelved in Case 10. Percival Lowell was a writer and astronomer, known for his theory that there were canals, and therefore life, on Mars. "Mars as the Abode of Life" was the last book he published on the subject. 1372448. Shelved Dupont Bookstore.
