Quarterbound in publisher's red cloth boards, black cloth spine, gilt lettering/ornamentation to latter. Lacking dust-jacket. Plain white endpapers. Xxviii pp prelim material, 1134 numbered pp, [1135-39] author index, [1140] blank. Acknowledgments, preface, alphabetical list of titles, lists of staff and contributor initials, entries arranged chronologically, from "The Didache" (first century) to John XXIII's "Pacem in Terris"; author index. Condition notes: this is an ex-library copy with the typical array of stamps and sticker indicating such. Binding moderately worn with rubbing/scuffing, corners bumped, spine ends rolled. Binding still solid but weakening at title page. Interior generally tanned but clean with occasional stains, but all in all not bad for a library copy. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in a magical, historic farmhouse in piedmont Maryland stuffed with books. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
