London: Jonathan Cape,, 1980. First edition, first impression, of this children's picture book written and illustrated by Quentin Blake. It received the Kate Greenaway Medal of 1980. Quarto. Original illustrated boards lettered in black and green, orange endpapers. No dust jacket issued. Illustrated in colour. A little rubbing, boards and contents bright, small tear and splash mark to rear endpapers. A very good copy.
Synopsis
Quentin Blake's first book, Patrick , was published in 1968 and was followed by classics such as Mister Magnolia , All Join In and Clown .
