Publisher's green cloth over beveled boards, titles stamped in gilt on spine, with facsimile of the author's autograph in gilt on front cover; viii,127,[1]pp. A very fresh copy in the original binding, Near Fine, free of markings or notable wear.
A book of verse by the prominent Greenwich Village wit, theatre critic and literary editor. Winter was a central figure in the bohemian culture of Greenwich Village in the 1860s and 70s, at the center of the group of writers and critics who congregated at Pfaff's Beer Hall at Broadway and Bleecker Street. BAL 23009 (notes edition size of 1020 copies, including 65 copies in deluxe bindings).
