Cambridge at the University Press, 1953. Hardcover. Good. 1953. First Edition. 710 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Contains black and white illustrated plates. Ownership plate belonging to Helen and Michael Oppenheimer to front pastedown. Pages are clean overall, with mild tanning and foxing throughout. Binding remains firm. Faint dust marks to bottom edge of text block. Boards have slight edge wear with corner bumping. Mild sunning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Faint white marks and scratches overall.
