London: Collins, 1946. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. 9 7/8" x 7 1/8", 12 plates in colour and 72 pages of black and white drawings. Lucy Dawson was one of the most talented and, until recently, under-rated dog artists of the early twentieth century. 'Neighbours' principally illustrates dogs, but also has several pages, including one colour plate, devoted to cats. Hb, in yellow cloth with brown titling to spine, slight dint to lower edge of boards, else near fine, in very good dw, somewhat dusty, slightly rubbed at upper and lower spine, slight loss at middle of upper front edge; generally a very nice copy. .
