About This Item
Brampton, ON: Steel Rail Educational Publishing, 1979. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. pp: 266. FIRST EDITION. Blue printed and pictorial card covers. An early investigation into the Avro Arrow, designed and built in Canada, destroyed by the United States. The combat aircraft was so ahead of its time that the United States government put pressure on the Canadian government to scrap it, lest the profits from US combat aircraft would be reduced by the competition. A very good copy. There are two creases on the rear cover, and overall edge wear. Other than the name of a previous owner on the blank reverse of the last page, there are no marks or writing in the text. The spine remains solid, and uncreased. In other words, the book will stand up to readings.
