This work covers Chilean history between 1535 until 1810, exploring specifically the various nationals of the country, their histories, customs, beliefs and hardships.Agustin Edwards Mac-Clure (1878-1941) was a Chilean lawyer, business man and diplomat remembered for founding El Mercurio newspaper in Santiago.From the library of Eric Kenneth Prentice Back. Kenn Back was a British meteorologist with the British Antarctic survey for many years. He spent eight winters in the Antarctic and is a descendent of Captain George Back. In addition, he served as base commander at Halley, Faraday and Rothera stations. His library collection was built over decades and highlights his love of polar exploration.With the preserved flaps of the dust wrapper within.With one folding map bound to the rear and a number of illustrations throughout. In the publisher's original full cloth binding, with the preserved separate flaps of the dust wrapper maintained between the leaves. Externally very smart, some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean.
