This work includes a total of twenty-eight essays by Willmot in which he explores literature, including 'Poetry, its Shapes and Beauties', 'Books Which Are Adapted to Different Seasons', 'History and its Lessons', 'Domestic Interiors of Learning', and more.Willmott was a cleric, who first published this work as 'Pleasures, Objects, and Advantages of Literature' in 1851.Gift inscription dated 1862 to the recto of the front free endpaper. In a full morocco binding by Hayday. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing to the joints and extremities. A few light marks to the boards. Spine is a little faded. Minor bumping to the extremities. Front endpaper has been excited. Gift inscription to the recto of the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good
