The first edition, third impression of this work in a quarter cloth binding, with pictorial paper boards. David Gascoyne (1916-2001) was a poet associated with the British Surrealist Group. This is a critically acclaimed selection of his poems from 1937 to 1942, with illustrations by the abstract artist Graham Vivian Sutherland (1903-1980). Poems include: 'Snow in Europe', 'From Morn to Mourning', 'The Writer's Hand', and 'World Without End'. In a quarter cloth binding, with pictorial paper boards. Externally, generally smart, with shelf wear to the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good
