Near Fine. 26 x 17 cm. 444pp. Bound into full red leather with gilt design, lettering, and foredges. 4 raised bands to spine, moire endpapers, silk ribbon. Selected and edited by Louis Untermeyer, illustrated with wood-engravings by Boyd Hanna. A few small scratches to gilt foredges. Part of the "Masterpieces of American Literature" series.
Synopsis
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807 – 1882) was an American poet whose works include Paul Revere's Ride , The Song of Hiawatha , and Evangeline. Most of his works were lyrical poems which often utilized mythology and legend.
