The scarce first edition of this work in the original paper boards. Lady Margaret Sackville (1881-1963) was an English poet, children's author, and the first president of the Poetry Society. This is her second volume of poetry, which includes the three "Nightfall" sonnets, originally printed in The Argosy. Sackville (1881-1963) was a leading pacifist whose First World War collection, The Pageant of War (1916), is regarded as a classic of anti-war literature. In the original paper boards. Externally smart, though darkened to the spine, with shelf wear to the spine label. A little offsetting to the end papers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Very Good
