About This Item
This is a handsome, antique edition of "The Poetical Works of WILLIAM COWPER." Circa 1890's (there is no date of publication stated); Frederick Warne and Co.; London. "Complete Edition" with a Memoir of Cowper and Explanatory Notes. Nicely illustrated with vignettes and full-page drawings. Beautiful decorative binding with gilt on the front cover and spine, and gilt page edges on all sides of the text block.
Condition:
Clean covers and spine. The red cloth on the spine has faded a bit. Sharp cover corners. Bright gilt page edges on all sides of the text block. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. The pages are clean with the exception of heavy foxing to the frontispiece, title page, and the tissue guard in between; the last few pages also have some foxing. Overall the book is in Very Good- condition.
