New York: Scribner's. Near Fine. 1889. Hardcover. Donald Grant Mitchell (1822 – 1908) wrote under the pen name, Ik Marvel. He was an essayist and novelist who authored a number of books and was quite popular in his day. Frontis illustration is an "etching by Percy Moran." Front cover has nice white cameo inset in green cloth. Previous owner inscription on end paper: "To Dear Eva, 1899" Ref: Wright 1885; Frontis illustration; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 260 pages .
