The Romance of the Oriental Rug by Babayan, Levon - 1925

Toronto: Babayans Ltd, 1925 First edition in hardcover with a poor jacket. 80 pp. Colour plates. There is an inscription on the front endpaper by someone from Babayans in Ottawa and also a small owner's sticker. The boards have rubbing to spine ends and corners. The fron flap of the jacket is detached, lots of big chips and tears, age toning. Good/Poor

A beautiful early book on antique carpets. Text is Nearly Fine, with a neat contemporary armorial bookplate on the front endpaper, light wear to tips. DJ is is very bright, just light wear at tips and a couple of small chips. A superb copy of this fragile book.

Cloth over limp boards, DJ, 80pp. Illustrated with numerous examples of oriental rugs (some in color) . This is a PRESENTATION COPY which reads "A gift from BabayanÕs/ Toronto 1942" on fep. .
