A scientific investigation into the popular traditions of stories regarding fairy superstitions. With chapters on the art of storytelling, changelings, fairyland, swan-maidens, and more. Written by Edwin Sidney Hartland, an English anthropologist and author of works on folklore. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting, predominantly to the first and last few pages. Further spotting and light age toning to the endpapers. A contemporary ink inscription to the front pastedown. Very Good
