About This Item

Berkley, 1975. 1st Edition 4th Printing. Mass Market Paperback. Good. Book is clean with a square, tight binding and bright, white pages. Book has minor wear on the edges that is difficult to see in the scans. Book has creases to both covers and spine. ONE OF THE MANY CASE HISTORIES FROM SHARK ATTACK Robert Bartle, age 23, and a companion had been looking for fish to spear in relatively murky water, 25 feet deep, about 130 miles north of Perth, Australia. Bartle was wearing a black wetsuit with bright yellow seams, a black head cover, and black flippers. No fish had yet been speared. Bartle dove to recover a dropped float line. According to his companion, 'the shark came the opposite way and went straight under me about 8 feet down. It came out of the blue like a rocket and grabbed him (Bartle). It moved so fast that by the time I looked back it had Bob in its mouth and was shaking him like a leaf. It broke Bob in half and rose up at me with Bob's legs and flippers sticking out of its mouth. Bob's upper half floated to the surface.. A definitive analysis of the world's best information on attacks by sharks against men, complete with antishark measures and emergency action advice.
