About This Item
Blackwood Edinburgh & London, 1895. First Edition. Hardback. Good/No Jacket. First edition first issue in primary first issue binding with the gilt woman to upper cover. Complete with 9 plates and folding map. Bumping to edges of covers and spine frayed at ends and faded, tape residue at foot of spine (but no evidence anywhere that this is ex-Library) Upper hinge cracked and loosening but holding well, previous owner's name tipped in to end paper, internally a few light pencil notations but clean and bright. Decent copy of a scarce book.
