About This Item
This is one of the loveliest cookbooks I've seen--it could double as a coffee table book. It's big--10 1/4" x 14 1/3", 256 pages. It is 250 recipes from traditional Tuscan cuisine, all perfectly laid out and photographed. It also contains photographs of the Tuscan landscape and people. It was written by Lorenza de Medici, author of 30 cookbooks and owner of a cooking school in Badia (Chianti). She includes several recipes from her forebear, Catherine de Medici, who brought Italian cooking to France and is credited with creating French cuisine.
This copy is an unread first edition. The dust jacket (unclipped) has a little shelfwear along the bottom; the book itself is near-mint; it has just been leafed through.
