Tarset: Bloodaxe Books, 2002. Paperback. Near Fine. INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR. Slim trade paperback. Glossy illustrated wrappers, front wrapper featuring a photograph of Hughes' sculpture Medusa. Gentlest edgewear. Inscribed in black pen to title page: "30th October 2003/ Dear Jeff/ With all good wishes, Frieda Hughes." Else, clean, tight and tidy. A splendid copy of Hughes' third collection. Unusual signed. Near fine. Hughes' Waxworks "are figures from mythology and fable, the Bible and the annals of crime. But they are her own reinventions, sharply contemporary stories of anger and greed, love and sorrow, betrayal and jealousy" (rear wrapper).
