Complete in three volumes. xiv, 472pp; xii, 440pp; xi, 457pp. Over six hundred engravings and 124 coloured plates (across all three volumes). In a later binding, three-quarters red calf's leather over red buckram boards, gilt lettering on spine. Speckled edges. 4tos. A large and heavy set which will likely incur an additional charge for overseas delivery. Spines sunned and scuffed around, gently around corners, especially on volume one. Hinges cracked in volume one, with one further gutter cracked in same volume. A few small, mild spots on text block edges. Small nick along leading edge of contents page in volume two. Some small areas of browning on endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Stunning colour illustrations of animals from around the world.
