Signed - 3 signatures. First Edition. Fine / near fine. 2 original photographs of the signators. Book of poetry by the co-founder of the National Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas. Book is in fine, unread condition. Jacket has very slight moisture warpage on the back cover, thus near fine. The Forward is by the late, ex First Lady, Lady Bird Johnson, who was co-founder of the Wildflower Center and for whom it is named. The Introduction is by the late Helen Hayes, First Lady of the American Theater in the 20th Century and first woman to be awarded the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony). Ms. Hayes was also co-founder of the Center. Laid in are 2 original photographs: One with the author and Lady Bird at the inagural book signing in Austin in 1991. Another photograph is the author with Helen Hayes in a field of wildflowers. Also laid in is a signed, handwritten poem, by the author, titled 'Helen', which is dated March '93, the month of Ms Hayes death. The author, Lady Bird Johnson and Helen Hayes have all signed on the front free end page (no inscription).
