About This Item

Alyesbury: Robert Gibbs, 1888. First edition. Cloth. Very Good. 10" by 8". None. An interesting first edition copy of this biography of men of note of Buckinghamshire. A first edition copy of Worthies of Buckinghamshire and Men of Note of that County by Robert Gibbs. The aim of this volume was to collect and concentrate the fragments of local biography of Buckinghamshire that had been previously scattered throughout various publications into one volume. The volume is alphabetical in its detailing of the men of note of Buckinghamshire. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. With auctioneer stamps for W. Ford to the half title page and front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good
