London, UK: Hutchinson, 1952. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Bodle, Robert Talbot (designer). 112pp, 8 colour photographic plates (inc. frontispiece). Red cloth-covered boards with gilt design to front, titles to spine. 8vo. Spine ends rubbed and rounded, cloth wearing. Corners and bottom edges lightly rubbed. Slight mottling to boards. Text block edges starting to fox. Illustrated endpapers, tear along bottom of front free endpaper resulting in loss of approx 4cm across the page. Internally, neat clean bright and tight. Dust jacket has shelf wear, loss at spine head, several tears, chipping, light foxing inside, reflects volume condition. A beautifully illustrated book in both black and white and colour throughout. An insight into the young Queen's life, told at the time of her approaching Coronation.
