The print run of this book (by a small Yorkshire Press) was limited to only 500 books of which the first 40 were quarter bound in Niger Leather, with Marbled paper made by Douglas Cockerell & Son, printed and bound by Smith Settle one of the premier companies in the UK for the binding of fine limited editions. Signed by the Author. This is number 33. The book itself is in mint condition, with the authors inscription as the only mark, dust jacket was not issued with this binding. pp 65 very tight copy with small blind stamped address to first blank.. The Casanova Society's brief existence lasted from 1922 - 1926, and this was their second publication.This is a Limited Edition. Sets numbered 1 to 750 were of sixteen volumes, and sets numbered 751 to 2250 were of four volumes. The set being offered for sale here is Set #844, complete in four volumes. The set is in good condition with some rubbing at the edges, corners and hinges, and occasional spotting. Each volume is numbered - 844 - which shows a complete original set. Each of the volumes is signed on the title page by Ellsworth Fleming of the Casanova Society, and each is also signed by Fleming again on the following page which describes the publication of the volumes.This set will provide many long evenings of enjoyable reading, and will make a fine addition to your library of classic literature.
