The print run of this book (by a small Yorkshire Press) was limited to only 500 books of which the first 40 were quarter bound in Niger Leather, with Marbled paper made by Douglas Cockerell & Son, printed and bound by Smith Settle one of the premier companies in the UK for the binding of fine limited editions. Signed by the Author. This is number 33. The book itself is in mint condition, with the authors inscription as the only mark, dust jacket was not issued with this binding. pp 65 very tight copy with small blind stamped address to first blank.. LeTourneau, the subject of this biography 8vo size maroon clothbound hardcover; 208 pages with many black and white photographs. R.G. (Robert Gilmour) LeTourneau (1888-1969) was an inventor and manufacturer of earthmoving machinery, holding almost 300 patents. He was a frequent speaker on Christian subjects. He founded LeTourneau University, a Christian college in Longview, Texas. LeTourneau's signature on the fep of this book, is annotated, by him, with a reference to Matthew 6.33. That verse was later inscribed on his gravestone. Book has edgewear, several small spots on covers, tanned endpapers, and an owner's name on fep. May have a slight musty aroma. It is a free translation into Spanish of the poem The Foot of The Cross, written by Reverend Frederic William Faber (1814-1863). This author was a reputed English hymnwriter and theoligian of London who converted from Anglicanism to Roman Catholocism in 1845.
