A couple of small stains on the rear panel, else fine. Inscribed by Ginsberg on Staten Island in 1964 to Ted Berrigan with drawings of a flower and Ginsberg's three-fish-with-one-head symbol.

Paris: The Olympia Press, 1961. First edition, first prnt. 1st state with "15 N.F." printed price on rear wrap. No. 85 in the publisher's "The Traveller's Companion" series. Signed by Corso on the front free endpage. Perfect-bound printed wraps in pictoral dustjacket. Illustrations by Corso. Minimal shelfwear; dustjacket with minor shelfwear, mostly at the spine topedge, slight toning on spine and rear flap fold and small stain on spine. The book was my father's personal copy. The DJ has no clips but a little missing and moisture damage. The cover was taped and has moisture problems but the inside pages are in fine condition in comparison to others. Cover states Printed in U.S.A. Ace, New York, 1953. First edition. Condition: Very good plus; book has slight edge wear and creasing along spine, slight darkening on interior pages. Ace Double Books D-15.Burroughs' classic "confessions of an unredeemed drug addict". His first published book. A very nice copy of this famous example of "write what you know".

[San Francisco], 1955. Very good overall.. Previously unknown original carbon typescript of the most important postwar American poem: Allen Ginsberg's "Howl." Almost certainly the only surviving draft version of this iconic poem remaining in private hands, and the only one to ever be separately offered for sale. This copy was struck from what has become known as the fifth draft (so identified in HOWL: Original Draft Facsimiles and Variant Versions [etc.]. Barry Miles, Editor. New York: Harper & Row, 1986) and most likely dates from early 1956. It is this draft that Ginsberg read in what is the earliest known recording of the poem at Oregon's Reed College from February 1956 (indeed you can hear him turning the pages at precisely the right time on the recording), performed just three months after the legendary Six Gallery reading where the poem debuted. Hand bound in 1/4 purple and red floral designed cloth over yellow paper covered boards, lettered in outline in red and purple, central line drawing executed by Bukowski within a brown frame, and with an original ink drawing on upper board by Bukowski signed, red endpapers, deckled fore-edges, yellow paper spine label lettered in black, in yellow dust jacket lettered in an outline of purple and red with brown separating rule. A very nice copy, the book is close to Near Fine, with a bit of darkening to the gilding of the spine. Slight foxing on text block. Jacket has a bit of wear at the spine ends and along the joint between the spine and the front panel, especially at the top. One of only 3500 copies of the first printing. NF / NF overall and jacket now with a protective removable acetate cover. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

Jack KerouacThe Dharma Bums. A very nice copy of this classic from the Beat Generation. Viking, New York 1958, pp. 244. First Edition with unclipped dust jacket. Text is clean, unmarked and tight. The original black cloth covers lettered in silver and green are unmarked, and the book is in FINE CONDITION. The dust jacket is in very good condition, with only slight scuffing and the inside of the front flap has a faint pink mark over the price, See photo.

First edition / First printing. 12" Vinyl LP in Illustrated cardboard sleeve. Near fine. A lovely copy. Uncommon, especially signed by several participants.

1970. The poem measures 61 x 45 cm. Kenneth Patchen sent it out for The Christmas holiday and is accompanied by a long 40-line letter he wrote to Larry Lake, publisher of Mano-Mano (Bowery Press), dated June 2, 1971 (in original hand addressed envelope), with his Palo Alto address. In this letter he says things have become a bit scrambled regarding permission to have his work quoted in Mano-Mano. He refers to his letter of January 20, [1971] where he says "you wrote us a letter in which you say..." here he quotes what Larry Lake had written about the proposed issue and Lake's note that he plans to dedicate it to him and list all his works. He also notes that his wife [Miriam] had sent a note of thanks and granted permission. No Place[Bolinas, Calif.]: No Publisher[The Author], No date, circa 1968-1988. Title from the first line. A single sheet of thin smooth white cardboard, with manuscript poem in black marker and five red chop marks creating the image of a tree. Near Fine, small rubs and staining to green marker border. RARE. One of only four other known original handwritten versions of this poem, the others located by OCLC at SUNY-Buffalo, Ball State Univ., Univ. of North Carolina, and Simon Fraser Univ. However in those other versions Kyger also used yellow, brown and blue markers in addition to the red and black ones. The poem was published as a broadside in 1979 by Cranium Press, that version bearing no resemblance to the handwritten originals. A poem that arose from Kyger's interest in Zen Buddhism, as evidenced by the SUNY version's inscription reading "Joanne Kyger again in hindrance practice 11.2.88." This is the real thing: the true first edition of Pictures of the Gone World by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. City Lights Pocket Poets #1.
Meets all first edition, first printing points according to "The City Lights Pocket Poets Series: A Descriptive Bibliography" by Ralph T. Cook: Saddle-stitched with two staples; stiff black paper wrapper printed in yellow, with a yellow hand-pasted wraparound paper label printed in black. This hand-pasted wraparound label is present only on the first printing.
Published in 1955, at 65 cents. Only 500 copies printed letterpress by David Ruff. No printing notice, meaning first printing.
Condition is a solid VG for this title. Only flaws are slightly soiled wrappers and somewhat rusted staples — but the pages are completely intact and not loose at all. (Even so, you'll want to be careful when turning pages of this historic book.) Wraparound is in excellent shape, firmly glued with no peeling or chipping. Kept in fresh plastic sleeve for archival storage.
