Olivier Roy is research director at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and lectures at the cole des Hautes tudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) and the Institut d'tudes Politiques (IEP) in Paris. His books with Columbia University Press include The Politics of Chaos in the Middle East; Globalized Islam; and, with Amel Boubekeur, Whatever Happened to the Islamists? FairIt is best to assume that a “fair” book is in rough shape but still readable.

Poor (P)A book with significant wear and faults. A poor condition book can still make a good reading copy but is generally not collectible unless the item is very scarce. Any missing pages must be specifically noted.
