Hardback. xiv, [xvi - xvii], 1 - 48, [4]pp. Top edge gilt. Label to spine. Book designed by Sebastian Carter & printed by him and Will Carter at the Rampant Lion Press, Cambridge. Printed on mould-made paper from J. Barcham Green of Maidstone. Binding by John P. Gray & Son of Cambridge. Introduction by Isabel Rivers. Notes to text at rear. Prose polemic from 1644 opposing licensing and censorship. This is an ex-library copy. Lacking slipcase. Book in good condition. A little light marking to boards. Front endpapers bear the usual scars of library tickets etc being removed. Front paste down has a 'withdrawn' sticker from East Sussex County Library.
