Sound and square binding in illustrated boards. The bottom fore-corner tips are knocked and there is a bit of wear to the foot of the spine. Otherwise, no discernable wear. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket has a little corner wear and a Caldecott Medal label on the front panel. The rear panel has a couple of soft crinkles. The story of how Winnie, the bear on which Winnie-the-Pooh is based, was rescued and taken to an army base in England by Harry Colebourn, a veterinarian on this way to tend horses in World War I. The bear eventually was moved to the London Zoo, where A.A. Milne took his son Christopher to visit. This book won a Caldecott Medal in 2016. .
