New York: McGraw-Hill Book Company, 1954. First Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Clarence Doore. FIRST PRINTING of FIRST USA Edition. Original black boards with red cloth spine area with gilt ice-axe decoration front, gilt lettering spine. The book has diffuse faint mottling to the red cloth part of the covers, some browning and tiny brown spotting to EPs, no foxing on pages, solid binding, old owner name penned to corner of FFEP otherwise no other owner marks or writing on any pages. LACKING the dust jacket (now replaced with a photocopy of an original). The book measures 218mm tall x 141mm, and has 334 pages, 27 b/w & 9 color photos, 7 appendixes, drawings, index. PHOTOS ARE OF ACTUAL ITEM BEING OFFERED.
