First Edition 1956, 323 pages with black and white portrait of Francisco Garcia Diego on frontispiece, many black and white illustrations and photographs., Book is Fine in publisher's grey cloth binding with green stamped title to spine. No previous owner bookplate or writing, never read condition. Detailed history of Mission Santa Ines and early California mission life. Jacket is Very Good Plus, some light soiling on rear panel, a few stray tears with minor chip to head and heel, shows nicely in a new mylar sleeve. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
