This was the Army of the Pacific. It was composed entirely of volunteers who fought over a territory one-third larger than the total area of all the seceded states. Much of this information was taken from 150 letters written by those volunteers. A fine bright copy bound in blue cloth, spine lettering and top edge gilt.
