England: White Lion, 1974. Book. Good. Hardcover. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Scarce reprint edition. This copy has the following faults. Jacket has had the flap edges trimmed , the residue of a label to the spine and tape to the bottom and top edges of the jacket on the obverse. There is remains of library impedimenta to the front endpapers, tape ghosts, tape to front hinge, shelf wear, age toning to the text block and a library stamp to the title page. Cheap filler copy for the edition collector or a solid reading copy..

Biggles Dangerous Missions contains, Biggles Air Commodore (Secret Mission), Biggles Secret Agent, Sergeant Bigglesworth CID(Flying Detective) & Biggles in Australia. Norminally a hardcover book with soft boards. Book is in excellent nick Economical way of collecting some harder to find titles. The book is overweight and may require additional postage to some destinations.

Pages are slightly tanned with minor foxing and dust marks throughout. Heavier foxing to pastedowns and endpapers. Tiny hole to front hinge. Pages 158-159 with heavy thumb-marks. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping and chipping to corners, and rubbing to surface. Visible paper residue to boards. Notable tanning to spine and boards edges. Light sunning to spine with visible crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is darkened.

Endpapers partly browned. Foxing to textblock. Flying Jacket wrapper is price-cut, slightly edge chipped with a couple of small tears and foxing on verso. Small patch of surface paper damage to base of wrapper spine.

First Edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 1st edition 2nd impression; approx1.5 in or 36 mm thick across the back of the spine. Single * to the half title confirms edition status. Not that this has a lot of meaning as the book is ex library and has been rebound. Name in ink to half title. Book appears to have been slightly cut down when rebound in brown boards which display ageing and mottling. Page edges have been professionally decoratively sprayed with pink speckling. Front free endpaper has been omitted in the rebind. Now covered in a heavy duty protective sleeve. Text block displays quite a deal of foxing. Good solid reading copy and quite hard to find in this early state which has the frontis omitted in later editions..

Boards edge worn, edges and spine strip sunned, grubby with stains to both boards, neat inscription to half title page, no annotations, spine cracked between front board and text block, lean to the spine, abrasions to front end paper, binding sound, pages lightly tanned, edges of text block dust stained. Good readable copy.

Small owner name stamp on front endpaper. Slightly cocked. Small bleach mark to top of spine. DW is printed on the reverse of some colour prints. DW has small chip at top of spine (above lettering) and a few other minor closed tears etc with some slight internal repair. DW priced 5/- net. . Reprint. Hardback. VG+/nrVG DW.

First Edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 1st edition 2nd impression approx1.5 in or 35 mm thick across the back of the spine, Blue boards, missing colour frontis has been replaced with a colour photo copy. Top edge of the compressed page edges was once tinted blue but has faded considerably. Boards are grubby and the front board is heavily creased which has torn pastedown on the inside of the board. Spine is fraying to front leading edge, all corners bumped. Name in ink to front endpaper, library stamp to front endpaper, half-title, title and rear endpapers. Compressed page edges are dirty and there are dirty finger marks to a few pages. Quite hard to find in this early state..
